No, We design each Happy Goon greeting card so that they are still a great card to give without the app. They will still be gratefully received just like any other greeting card you’d send… But the experience will be a lot more entertaining and memorable when used with our free app on your smart device.

You will need internet to download the app, but once you have it, content will play no matter where you are. So you’ll be able to get the full experience even if you’re on the subway, in a plane or climbing a mountain.

We make it as easy as possible for the person you’re sending a card to see the full experience. Every card we make has instructions on how to get the app printed on the back. We also give you a sticker to seal the envelope with that lets the person you’re giving it to know the card comes to life, and they should look at the back of the card to find out how.

Even better than that, if you’re going to be giving it in person, have the app on your phone so when they open the card you can show it off right away. (done in front of a group of people gets a lot of “wows”).

Of course. For each card you buy, you can send to a different person/address by picking the “Send to Someone Else” option and filling in their details.

You can also pick different delivery dates for each card, so you can effectively arrange cards for all your important peoples birthdays and events at once.

You need to be connected to the internet to download the app, but that’s it. Once you have it, all our cards will play even if you happen to be on the subway, on a plane, or lost in the middle of the wilderness with no signal.
